Joshua Belliardo is a 23 year old Spokane based singer-songwriter whose music has been causing quite a stir in the Inland Northwest since 2011. There’s no doubt that his smooth guitar, ukulele and sensational vocals can turn heads. His original lyrics are truly captivating.
Joshua was born in San Diego, California but moved with his family to Spokane, Washington when he was 8. He first began writing by experimenting with his own short hip-hop verses and doing speed-rap covers. He was about 16 when he wrote an entire song in the hip-hop genre. However, he never shared his music publicly until 2011 when he purchased his first ukulele. Within the first week of having that ukulele, he wrote his first song titled "I'm in Love". Joshua has since moved to the guitar as his main instrument.
With 95+ original Acoustic-pop songs written, Joshua has given countless impressive performances over the past few years. He recently was invited to perform as an opener at CannaFest 2018, opening for Gene Simmons, Bret Michaels, Kim Mitchell, Burton Cummings, Whitesnake and many more. He has headlined four shows at the Spokane Transit Authority plaza, where Wall street was re-routed to accommodate the stage. His photo was also featured in every city bus in Spokane. Other notable performances include a performance at the Patsy Clark Mansion, VegFest, the Garland street fair, an opening set for artists Secondhand Serenade, pop-punk duo This Wild Life and nationally touring R&B artist SoMo.
Joshua’s ultimate ambition is to provide his audience with music that is relatable, no matter what situation they may be facing. He recently finished recording a 5 song EP that’s available on all major online outlets.
Why Joshua brings music to the world
It all started with wanting to write a song as way of release, but it turned into so much more. He found that his music isn't just for him anymore. It's for anyone who needs it. Anyone who is struggling and needs to know that somebody in the world has gone through what they're facing, to see that they can make it through their own struggle, as he has myself. Joshua's desire to be a musician stems from the need to have an emotional release & be able to express the force of emotions stewing inside of him. Through his music he has the opportunity to share his story and have others sympathize through their own shared experiences.
Joshua does this by being as real and raw as possible. He wants to share with his fans the raw and intimate details that make that story or song just so much more impacting and emotional. His music is completely honest with no extreme exaggeration.
Joshua delivers the full package through his music. Friendly, kind, compassionate, understanding, vulnerable, outgoing, and there for everybody and anybody who can respect and vibe with him through his music. He doesn't just want fans, but instead a real family that wants to be part of something bigger than themselves.
